Music lessons at Multnomah County libraries

Making music lessons available for everyone

Music to Go Programs are thoughtfully designed and adaptable, allowing them to be taught in various locations and environments. The Multnomah County libraries provide an excellent platform for working with children from diverse backgrounds and cultures, enabling them to explore their voices, discover their musical inclinations, and enjoy the engaging atmosphere of a musical group.

These libraries offer a fantastic opportunity for kids to acquaint themselves with music fundamentals, delve into music theory and sound production, and explore different musical genres, composers, and styles.

Our programs cater to children aged 3 to 6 and 6 to 8. They are taught in both English and Russian, making them accessible to more students in Portland and the surrounding areas. This bilingual approach enables children whose native language isn't English to learn music comfortably in their mother tongue, potentially igniting a new passion in their lives.

The program is free for participants. Prior enrollment is recommended.
